Asher Young Studio, a producing and creative direction agency based in New York City, commissioned a full visual identity and website redesign.

With clients and collaborators ranging from Dior to Blue Man Group, the studio manages a portfolio of diverse, high-stakes projects. For this identity, the primary design challenge was to create a brand voice that felt distinct and theatrical without overpowering the studio's output. I developed a visual system where the studio’s signature low-light, atmospheric photography takes center stage in order for the work to speak for itself.

The identity relies on a high-contrast typographic system to establish clear visual hierarchy.

I combined bold, distinct sans-serif headers with a serif, low-opacity secondary font. This pairing mimics the tension found in a theater setting—the boldness of a performance contrasted with the subtlety of the backstage logistics. On physical assets like the business cards, I utilized embossing and tight crops of the studio's most visually compelling work to add a tactile, mysterious quality to the stationery.

Translating the studio’s low-light aesthetic to the web required a focus on intuitive navigation and visual impact.

The landing page displays the studio’s body of work as a continuous, scrolling list of projects. To ensure usability for prospective clients, I designed a robust set of search filters at the top of the interface, allowing users to quickly sort through the studio's extensive archive based on project type or industry.

The cohesive visual identity and digital platform adapt seamlessly around the studio’s constantly evolving creative work.

I’m a graphic designer and student at Yale (’26)

I’m a graphic designer and student at Yale (‘26) focusing on typography, motion graphics, and design systems. My practice is rooted in a deep respect for art history and craft. Before studying design, I practiced traditional blackletter calligraphy, a practice that continues to inform my approach to typography and lettering.

I have gained professional experience designing for artists such as Jeffrey Gibson, Mickalene Thomas, and Joel Mesler, and for arts institutions including Sotheby’s, Christie’s, and JOOPITER. I have also interned for Irma Boom Office, Mickalene Thomas Studio, and Hyperallergic.

In an increasingly automated design industry, I believe the human touch is a designer’s most valuable tool. Whether through hand-drawn calligraphy, organic shapes, or tactile print designs, I strive to imbue my work with a distinct sense of humanity that distinguishes it from the algorithmic and the artificial.

I’m currently seeking a full-time role and always interested in freelance work.
